Dear Friend,
Thanks to your support and the work of the United Nations and other partners, today we celebrate International Day of the Girl.
Because of our work together, more and more people now recognize what we’ve long known: Empowering girls to reach their full potential is one of the best ways to make positive change in communities around the world.
But we have a lot more work to do. You can help by joining our Girl Up campaign’s 11 Days of Action
. Already, supporters have taken more than 7,000 actions in 90 countries. Today is the final day to take part, so whether this is your first action or your eleventh, I encourage you to act now. Because of our work together, more and more people now recognize what we’ve long known: Empowering girls to reach their full potential is one of the best ways to make positive change in communities around the world.
But we have a lot more work to do. You can help by joining our Girl Up campaign’s 11 Days of Action
Girls around the world need our support today, tomorrow, and in the years to come. We must make sure adolescent girls are a priority in the global agenda.
The Girl Declaration – an effort by the Nike Foundation, the UN Foundation, partners, and girls around the world – is a call to action to include girls as a top priority in the future development agenda. Add your name today so world leaders know we can’t ignore girls.
Together, we can make sure that girls are heard, counted, and empowered to change the world.
Sincerely,
Kathy Calvin
